About us
Founded by Ludovic Boujut (HoldwiG), a passionate Aeonium collector, Variegated Aeonium is an independent project created to gather, preserve and share knowledge about Aeoniums.
Originally focused on variegated Aeoniums, the project has gradually expanded to encompass the entire Aeonium genus, including botanical species, cultivars, hybrids and mutations.
Our ambition today is to build an international reference platform combining botanical knowledge, practical tools and community contributions, welcoming everyone from beginners to dedicated collectors.
Much more than a botanical publication
Variegated Aeonium now brings together several complementary areas:
- A documented encyclopedia: Detailed cultivar profiles, origins, synonyms, lineages, historical records and photographs.
- A specialist magazine: News, discoveries, interviews, botanical research and cultivation advice.
- A Premium space for collectors: Advanced searches, personal collection management, plant tracking, wish lists and dedicated tools.
- A community of enthusiasts: Sharing knowledge, photographs, observations and contributions to improve the accuracy of our information.
A constantly evolving project
This journey is only beginning.
New tools are being developed to help collectors manage and monitor their plants, share experiences and benefit from an ever-growing knowledge base.
The gradual expansion of multilingual content will also help connect Aeonium enthusiasts around the world.
Our long-term goal is simple: to make Variegated Aeonium a comprehensive ecosystem dedicated to Aeoniums, bringing together knowledge, passion, collecting and sharing.
Independent and collaborative
Variegated Aeonium is built on continuous research, verification and documentation, supported by exchanges with growers, hybridizers and collectors worldwide.
Most of our educational resources remain freely accessible. Contributions and support from our community help us continue this work and develop new services.
Welcome to the world of Variegated Aeonium!
