Origin:
Derived from a mutation ofAeonium ‘Shao Hua’ which is itself a mutation of Aeonium ‘Blushing Beauty’.
Please note that this is not the same Aeonium as ‘Pink Witch Middle’.

Mutation known by September 2023 at the latest. Probably of Chinese origin; breeder unknown.
Botanical description
Aeonium ‘Flaming Mountain’ is a variegated Aeonium derived from Aeonium ‘Pink Witch Yellow Middle’.
In midwinter, when light levels are low, its foliage consists of a pale green central band bordered on each side by green areas.
As light levels increase, older leaves tend to darken and develop burgundy-red tones over part or all of the leaf, beginning at the tips. The growing center remains green and pale green. This Aeonium changes relatively little through the seasons.
This variegated Aeonium grows actively and produces offsets readily. It does not appear to be particularly fragile.

‘Pink Witch Yellow Middle’ is more yellow than ‘Flaming Mountain’ and its red coloration tends more toward coppery red or rust.

The main difference between ‘Flaming Mountain’ and ‘Pink Witch Middle’ lies in the center of the rosette, which in ‘Flaming Mountain’ does not develop coloration, unlike ‘Pink Witch Middle’
