We present here as comprehensive an inventory as possible of variegated Aeoniums derived from mutations of the botanical species Aeonium undulatum. As new mutations appear regularly, please feel free to share your observations and any new names in circulation. First, a few details about Aeonium undulatum provide useful context.
ORIGIN: A botanical Aeonium native to the island of Gran Canaria.
KNOWN NAMES: undulatum, Yanzi (Chinese name), Youngianum

An important characteristic of this Aeonium is its tendency to produce offsets from the base. This is not systematic, however, because offsets may also emerge from the trunk, as in other Aeoniums. This trait is found in variegated Aeoniums derived from undulatum, especially ‘Zeus’. To make the most of the potential of these undulatum-derived Aeoniums, do not hesitate to use generously sized pots from their first repotting.
